Glider

Soar through the sky of Illinois in a Civil Air Patrol glider. Nothing compares to the feeling of an airplane pulling you off the ground into the sky then that moment when you release from the tow and are truly free. We typically fly Schweizer 2-33 and Blanik L-23.

Cadets 14 and older can apply for the glider section

All cadets will be weighed at check-in to ensure they meet the weight limitations of the glider. If you are over 215lbs please contact Lt Col Bowden prior to applying
